.In 1996 I had a free Tram reconstruction from my abdomen. It was a great success. However, now I am having pains in my lower abdomen and a very tight feeling still exists. What do you think is causing my pain?

hannahsnanaDear hannahsnana: It is impossible to guess, over the internet, as to the cause of your abdominal pain. Is is muscular or GI related, for example? It could be that you have some scar tissue. Scar tissue can feel very tight. You might check with your plastic surgeon to see if there are exercises he/she recommends to help loosen scar tissue. Also, if the pain is severe and/or constant, it should be evaluated by a physician to determine the cause and, if applicable, proper treatment.
