Child behavior

My son 5&1/2 yr. Old and very aggressive. According to his class teacher he does his work in time but makes lots of nuisance in the class. Like he pours juice on others, shouting, disturbing others sometime violently. Otherwise he memorizes his tasks and rhythms. We are now getting constant complains from school on behalf of other parents.
At home he plays most of the time alone. When ever his friends comes over, they will be all right for some time. Later they will start fighting, breaking and spoiling things and toys.  So we stopped buying any new toy as a part of punishment for him. As far as medication goes, medicating a child can have very bad drawbacks. A dear friend of mine was a very hyperactive child. His parents decided that mild sedavtives would help. As he was now a bit lethargic, their doctor prescribed another medication to bolster his mood. Within a few years, he was diagnosed with OCD and once again was given more medication.
As an adult, he had serious trouble handling tense situations. He could not control his anger, but then he also couldn't get very excited about anything. After moving from home and attempting to ween himself from the meds, he became more relaxed, more full of life, was able to finish college and hold a steady job. His OCD is very slight now.
According to him, with the meds, life was "...sort of like seeing through a dull haze. Without them, the sun shines brightly..."

Your son's behavior is definitely beyond what could reasonably be regarded as normal-spectrum child behavior problems. An evaluation by a child mental health clinician is called for, and part of the assessment can include a consideration of medication.
