14-year old boy sees 'visions'

by LsMom, Jan 13, 2002 12:00AM
My son is 14 and has lived with his Dad since we divorced when he was 2. Getting time with him was very difficult when he was young, his Dad was uncooperative, and we fought about it. We even went to court once over custody. Over the years he has lightened up and since my son has been a teenager, he comes & goes as he pleases. I have always seen him on a regular basis. His half-sister & brother live with me, and he has a stepmom & stepsibs. On an outing recently, his older sister played a CD with a song with a Satanic theme. He says it scared him, and now he seems depressed and cries alot. When he is left alone in his room, he says he thinks about it and begins to cry. He also says he sees visions of pentagrams, upside-down crosses and devils "floating thru his mind" and a voice that is telling him to be a Devil-worshipper. A counseler tells us that it is anxiety related to our divorce/custody issues. I think he should continue counselling but his Father does not. He thinks he should counsel with a priest. He seems better now, and better at my house than at his Dad's. Have you ever heard of this Satanic thing before?

Your son's distress definitely warrants attention by a mental health professional. The reaction may not be particularly related to the divorce, but it deserves attention. The precise content of your son's mental images is not unusual in situations such as this, particularly in light of what gave rise to it.

First of all I would like to say this may be more than just anxiety, or problems dealing with divorce issues.

I would like to say first of all I am not a religious fanatic or nut. I am a christian male who knows the power of our Lord and Savior, and the loathsome acts of Satan himself. Satan roames about like a lion looking for whomever he may devour. People need to realize we are in a constant battle with evil.

" for our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the authorities, against the power of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms".( ephesians 6:12 )

" the thief ( satan ) comes only to steal and kill and destroy " ( john 10:10)

Your son was exposed, to no fault of his own ,to the influence of satan himself. satan looks for anyway to get a foothold into someones life. Whether it's physicall, mental, emmotional. He only wants to destroy by any means..Your son was exposed to him. You said in your post your son didn't like the music and it scared him. Well that's the perfect senario for the devil. He found a way to scare and intimidate your son. Well I have good news. Through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ we have the authority to put satan on the run. At the mere name of Jesus he must flee. He has no choice he cannot stand to be in the presence of Jesus, and hear his name. If your son is still having problems this is what I suggest. If he has not accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior I would suggest he do so. It's very simple. It takes a simple prayer prayed outloud with faith and belief. Have hime pray this prayer outloud!!!

PRAYER OF SALVATION!!!!!! ( PRAY IT AND MEAN IT )

" FATHER, I BELIEVE IN MY HEART THAT JESUS BORE MY SINS AND DIED IN MY PLACE. I REPENT OF ALL THAT I'VE DONE THAT HAS DISPLEASED YOU AND I RECEIVE MY FORGIVENESS NOW. JESUS, I ASK YOU TO COME INTO MY HEART AND SAVE ME. AS YOU DO THAT, I TURN MY LIFE OVER TO YOU AND ASK YOU TO TAKE CONTROL OF IT. THANK YOU FOR GIVING ME ETERNAL LIFE AND MAKING ME YOUR CHILD. I PROMISE TO READ THE NEW TESTAMENT, TO FAITHFULLY ATTEND A GOOD BIBLE TEACHING CHURCH, AND TO SERVE YOU ALL THE DAYS OF MY LIFE. THANK YOU FOR SAVING MY SOUL!! IN JESUS NAME, AMEN!!

If you pray it and mean it you are on the road to freedom and abundance. God wants us to be happy, healthy, and free of persecution from the devil.

" I am the body of Christ and satan has no power over me. For I overcome evil with good ( 1 cor 12:27; romans 12:21 )

" The devil flees from me because I resist him in the name of Jesus " ( james 4:7 ) This scripture is very important. You and your son being born again have the authority to rebuke the devil out of your life in the name of Jesus. The next time your son has these vision, all he has to say is ( satan flee from me in the name of Jesus ) satan has no choice, he has to leave!!

Read the bible. Fill yourself with the word of God. Quoting scripture is like throwing a hand grenade at the devil....it's very effective warfare...If I can be of anymore help please let me know...God Bless....

                  in His service,

I agree wholeheartedly with cowboy4christ.  We are taught about the love and power of Christ at church.
