yellow Jaundice , cronic stomach aches w/vomiting, and bleeding from lower gums

my wife broke 2 of her ribs approx. 3 months ago. and since then she has been over-run w/ 1 problem after another.I must be honest  and say that she is a heavy vodka drinker (daily)and that she takes xanex daily for anxiety.she has always been a heavy drinker and never had these type of issues.but ever since she hurt herself she seems to be a magnet for illnesses. she was about to get on an inversion table but leaned on it before locking herself in it and was fiercly flipped up and over and SLAMMED on the ground hitting both her ribs (left side) and her head. now she is almost always feverish or extremly cold. each time she awakes she is very nauseas and her lower gums bleed only on the left side, is noticably yellow everywhere. she is not likely to quit drinking for any reason. she is scared to death of hospitals, and i don't know how to fix her . what can i do to help her????????? how do i save her at home????????

she is 44 and we've been togerther for 14 years this coming july 2nd. what do i do???????? remember she WILL NOT  go to a hospital.her ribs though are almost completely healed now though.

                       Thanking you in advance,

I believe your wife needs a general medical exam. The bleeding gums maybe a symptom a more extensive problem.

Have your wife checked for hepatitis c.  yellow juandic, low platlets-bleeding problems-pain, confusion, etc coupled w/heavy drug and alcohol use, digestive  upsets and vomiting are all symptoms of impending liver failure.

the refusal to do the logical or rational thing is another sign of liver failure-encephalopathy.  And if she has a big pot belly and the wight gain is why she won't see a doctor-well ascitis is another sign of liver failure.

Believe me, when her liver fails, the gums won't be the only thing bleeding!
