Red spot with white bumps on gum

Hello,
On my top gum, above one of my front teeth toward where my lip and gum meet, I have a little smooth red spot with a semi-circle of white dots around it, its not painful, although I do have pain in the tooth below it but I'm not sure if they are related.

Anyone know what this is?
Thanks

That is.... "might NEED root canal treatment."

It almost sounds like you have a developing fistula that might be related to an abscessed tooth.  You might want to see a dentist to check the tooth to verify whether it might root canal treatment.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
It does not sound serious but if remains there for 7 to 10 days I would consult your dentist or an oral surgeon for a diagnosis.
