Face pain and bump on gum

Hi...there's a small, hard bump on my gum, just above the root of my upper left canine tooth. I'm also experiencing pain on that side of my face...it feels as if I've been punched in the face. There isn't really any other swelling, and the tooth itself doesn't hurt, but is just a tiny bit sensitive to cold. I know I need to see a dentist...but of course it started bothering me on Friday night of the Memorial Day weekend...and I've been unable to find a dental office that's open. I've found some that do have emergency numbers...but only for established patients (and I'm not an established patient anywhere, since I haven't been to a dentist in years...stupid of me, I know). So, is there anything I could/should do before I can get to a dentist on Tuesday when offices open again? Thanks!

Sorry I'm getting to you late, but you can always go to a hospital or oral surgeon that has dentists on call.

Never mind...I managed to get ahold of a dentist...whew.
