norvasc and depression

by libran, Nov 29, 2006 12:00AM
My doctor prescribed Norvasc for my high blood pressure and after being on it for two to three weeks, my blood pressure dropped to where I became listless. I began feeling depressed and wonder if there is any correlation between Norvasc and depression. The side effects for me were not being able to void, feeling out-of-it. I'm off of Norvasc now and have been for almost two weeks.  Anything you can tell me about this would be helpful. Thanks so much.

Those are possible, but rare side effects.  I would speak with your practitioner about the side effects and possibly switch meds.
