Fingerhead, let me start by thanking you for reaching out to this message board, and let me also say I am so sorry you are dealing with the complications of CF and type 1 diabetes.  But let me also say we are all volunteers and cannot give any medical advice pertaining to type 1 and/or CF.  As a “mom” of a son with type 1 my heart goes out to you, and as a responder to this board, I have to say I/we are not qualified to speak regarding CF.

I have done a “search” on the web but again I am not comfortable passing on any information because I cannot “endorse” anything I have seen.

My best advice to you is to speak with your physician and a nutritionist regarding your questions.  I wish I had a concrete answer for you…but unfortunately I do not.

But as a “mom” I understand your desperate search for answers, I only wish I had them for you.

I can only say, I understand…I pray you will find the answers to your qiestions.

I wanted to let you know I checked with another online program that JDRF has called the Online Diabetes Support Team.  This question has come to this team as well, and while there are 90 volunteers who participate all who have a direct connection with type 1, none of them have CF as well.  I did find, in another response, these web sites that were recommended so I thought I would pass them along to you in case you haven’t seen them yet.
