I have another question.
The DR. said, a "catarac" usually happens with the detached retina surgery. So, can a replacement "Lens Implant" be made to correct my vision, to 20/20 in this eye?
Not-using my prescription glasses, I can read within 6" to 7" with the re-attached retina's eye, clearly, with print the size,
of "IN GOD WE TRUST" on a dime.
The other non-surgical eye, 12" to 24" clearly, with print the size, of "LIBERTY" on a dime.
I need the glasses for driving, can't read the Hyway signs clearly.
Thank you for your consideration...P.C. |

an implant can be inserted to allow the best possible vision that your RETINA will allow, but as for whether you will be 20/20 or not i have no idea. it will depend on the condition of your retina in there behind the cataract. "cataract extraction" is probably the most common surgery ever invented. there are like 150 threads on different types of cataract surgeries & implants on this site alone.
what you can & cant read at whatever distance doesnt tell me or anyone very much. it is certainly not very predictive of your post-op vision. |
