Eye Redness, Seemingly Cloudy, Pain when Focusing Close-Up

by byerly0503, Dec 29, 2006 12:00AM
About a week ago I experienced an intense headache (maybe a migrane?).  Distance vision was fine but if I tried to focus on something close up, such as my cell phone, I would feel pain in my eye.  Switching from contacts to glasses seemed to help.  Avoiding bright lights certainly did.

Assuming this was stress related, I just let it pass.  The next few days I would experience eye and eyelid twitches, seemingly when around bright lights.  I was fine for a couple more days, but now have redness.  The vision in my left eye seems cloudy or just blurry.  Near the end of the day focusing causes slight pain, not as bad as a week+ ago.

I'm late 20s, no major medical issues, and get an eye exam every year--no serious problems have been found in the past.

My doctor stopped carrying my vision insurance, so I need to switch doctors before my next exam.  Just curious if I need to speed up the process.
