well i dont have any serious problems thou my eye sight is getting worse. its not that bad, but i have to wear glasses now and its getting worse all the time, and my other eye is being effected by having to strain to make up for the damaged one. i really posted this thread to see how harmful lead was to my body and if there could be any side effects do to the lead being there... also some times it aches, like presure behind my eye. i also have "floater" i guess is what they're called, just looks like little pieces of hair in floating in my eye, and there are more now then when it happened.
What about "if it ain't broke don't fix it"? If you are not having any visual side effects of having the pellet behind your eye, then why risk loss of vision in that eye by having surgery? At least wait until you are experiencing visual symptoms (which you hopefully may never have) before undergoing such a risky surgery.
Is the pellet in the eye itself or in the tissue above the eye or eyelid?
6 years and im 18 the dr. that would have to take it out, would have to pop my eye i hear, and thers a chance that my optic nerve could disconnect from my eye, from the stress, so there is a gamble ether way, thnx for yer input, but what do you think i should do

Considering the location of nerves and sinus cavities, I would recommend having it removed. Although the risks are severe, the potential for increased damage is also apparent and should not be dismissed. Talk with your Ophthalmologist, maybe find a second opinion, but a good philosophy one of my professors once told me, if the body didn
How old are you now or how long has the pellet been inbedded in your eye? If it's still there you might want to talk to a doctor about the possiblity of getting it removed. Pellets are small enough that it won't cause any developement issues and as long as your eye isn't in danger, I don't think you have to much to worry about from any lead poisoning. Though, if it's still present, you may want to consider having it removed. Never gamble with your eyesight!
