vision problems

I have been having steadily worsening eye problems for about eight years.  I have been diagnosed with migraine as the cause but I am worried that this may be a misdiagnosis.  I seldom ever get a headache, just the vision problems.  I get double vision, blurred vision, halos, and recently started having a new symptom - its like a finger print pattern over lights.  I can still see the light, but it has ridges.  I haven't had a migraine headache for maybe two years.  I have these disturbances to my vision probably 25 or more days each month every month.  Should I be worried that more than a migraine is going on?
