Can you have a normal period and not ovulate? I have always had a normal period 28-30 days, I have 2 children from another marriage, but have not been able to get pregnat with new husband for 6 years. Husband has been tested and is fine. My OBGYN put me on clomid for 2 months(without any testing), said I didn't ovulate cause clomid made my cycles 35 days and I need to see a specialist. I feel ovulation pain every month, could my tubes be blocked (had surgery for appendectomy, but the surgyn opened me up above my pubic bone)also removed golf ball sized cyst. I hope you have some ideas.

You have me going back to the basics. First, I would like to no your age (34) ? First if your periods are every 30 days, get a progesterone level about 6 days before that 30th day anticipating your period. If your proegesterone is >2 you are ovulating, one of the better predictors of ovulation. You only make progesterone if you ovulate. You can bleed but not ovulate, But if you ovulate you will bleed or be pregnant. Second. a semen analysis doesn't always tell the story. It may just have been a good day. The Americam Society of Reproductive Medicine ( ASRM ) says to define male factor it takes 2 semen analysis 72 days apart, the time line for spermatonensis. Finally, you are absolutely correct, the number one female factor of infertility is block tubes. This test is not only diagnostic ( tubes are open) but pregnancy rates are higher after the test so therapeutic.

Yes I am 34. My husbands SA was above normal. I have my first appointment with a RE May 10th but since I will be on CD 11 I dont think they will do any testing till next cycle. So I guess I was just looking for a hopeful out look on things.BTW I had no problem getting pregnant with my daughter(15) or son(10), but it was about 2 years after I had my son that I had my appendectomy, and because of where they cut me I'm sure I probably have scarring. Hopefully I can get some test done to see. Thank you for replying.

THAT YOU NEED TO BE 28 IN ORDER TO DO THE

HCG. IS THIS TRUE? I'M A 19 YEAR OLD GIRL AND I AM REALLY

CONFUSED. I ALSO HEARD THAT YOU WILL HAVE FERTILITY PROBLEMS IF

YOU DO THE HCG BEFORE YOU ARE 28 YEARS OLD. I REALLY NEED TO KNOW IF

THIS IS TRUE BECAUSE I ALREADY ORDERED IT?
