Bleeding....plz help

Hello doctor.I had my laparoscopy and hsg done on cd 7 this month.Everything was found to be normal.i had some bleeding/spotting for a few days after the procedure. However i was having thick white discharge from cd 17-22 .Since cd 23,I started noticing pinkish blood in my vagina after a bowel movement. This has been going on for 3 days now.Today i am on cd 25 and have slight af like cramps but no bleeding....its just spotting after a bowel movement. If i use a sanitary napkin, nothing shows up on it....not even a drop in the whole dayAll this is irritating me.Is it residual blood from the surgery,is it implantation bleeding or is it my period?I am really confused....this has never happened to me before.I have a regular 27 day cycle otherwise.

Dear Nikki-

It is pretty common to experience an irregular or unusual period after a laparoscopy, simply due to manipulation of the ovaries and the uterus, so I would not be concerned about this if your periods are for the most part regular.

I would recommend calling your doctor's office though, because this is something that has occurred close to surgery and your doctor will know exactly what he/she saw and how to put the bleeding into that context.
