doing ivf, wondering which antibodie tests to ask for? Possibility of OHSS....

I will be starting my stimulation medications in about a week and a half for my very first ivf. I don't think I have been tested for antibodies. I'm paranoid that I may finally get pregnant and lose the baby because of something that I could have been tested for. I am 28, never been pregnant, husband and I have been trying for five years. All tests such as laparoscopy, hsg, etc have come back ok. Oh and I am not rh-, I was tested for that. I do have hashimoto's, but I am medicated and I my tsh is 2.0 currently.

My other question is about hyperstimulating my ovaries. I'm worried because I am young that I will get ohss. I will be on 200IU of follistim for the first few days, then down to 150IU, and 75IU menopur. Is this a pretty high dose or no?

Thank you,
Carisa

carisa,
unless you have had several miscarriages already, or have lost a baby in the middle of the pregnancy, i would not tests for antibodies.  many of the antibody tests are not accurate, and the treatment you face if come back positive, can create complications for you and the baby.
the dose of fertility drugs you have been ordered is standard for someone your age, and typically will not lead to hyperstimulation.  the step down in dose described above should lower the risk of hyperstumation. david
