increased fertility after failed IVF?

I've read that because of all the fertility drugs you take during IVF if it fails you are actually more fertile for that first cycle. Any truth to that?

The answer to that is not clear. If there is a benefit, it is marginal at best.

I can't seem to ever get my question posted, so i thought i would put it in the comments section.  worth a shot!

I am awaiting a natural cycle tranfer. I had a normal 27 day cycle last month, but the timing did not work for the doctor so I am to wait another month and transfer mid july.  At 40 my cycles are still like clockwork every 28 days. Well until this month.
On my CD1 I had a normal but light period and very sore breasts that continued through to day 13 today. Normally I would have much mucus and a positive ovulation test today. Both my ovulation test and pregnacy tests are negative, yet my breasts are very sore, I have zero mucus, and only a faint second line on the ovulation test. I can feel that my estragin is low (I am tired and not in the mood).

What could be going on? Why don't these sore breasts settle down like usual?  And why would i suddenly not ovulate, with FSH of 11.  What happens when you skip ovulation one time?  How does the body get back on track?  Which hormone fires to set it all back straight?  Does it require intervention?

Very Sincerely,
dd
