I went through two IVF cycles with the second one being successful. We transferred two eight cell eggs on day three. When I went in for my twelve week checkup I found out that the baby stopped growing at nine weeks three days. I am 29, active, healthy, don't drink or smoke and there was no answer for my fertility issues. We were able to retrieve 25 eggs in the second cycle. we now have nine frozen. My question is-I am nervous to do IVF again and am wondering what my chances are that I will miscarry again.

Sorry to hear about this news. Unfortunately, miscarriages do happen to approx one out of five pregnancies, whether or not they occur naturally or as a result of IVF or other fertility treatment. Thus, chances of a second miscarriage are in the 20% range. If you have good quality frozen embryos, you might want to consider that route, or another fresh cycle. I am very optimistic that your chances for a healthy pregnancy are good, based on your age and your response during your IVF cycle in the past. Good luck!

I am going through the same thing as you are. I actually had two successful IVF fresh cycles, but they both ended in misscarriages. My second one lasted until my 9th week. I am also 29 and work out all the time and am about to start my third attempt. I am very nervous as well. GOod luck to you!!
