Hi!  Great site!  I was diagnosed with endometriosis about 9 yrs. ago.  I had surgery and went on Lupron after, as well as birth control.  Birth control made me crazy, so my doctor and I decided on Lupron.  I started the taking it every 3 months, via injection.  I can't remember the last time I had my period...6-7 years ago.  Anywho, took my last injection the middle of Aug '07.  My husband and I decided we wanted to start trying to have children, so I thought I would have had my period in the middle of November 07, but I haven't gotten it yet!  My doctor said it was normal, and maybe I'll get it by Jan '08.  The last couple weeks, I have been really tired, gotten a lot of sleep, and my hands have been swollen for days now and my toes too!  I have a little cramping on the left to mid center, lower abd.'l area....what's going on with me?  And I have gained a few pounds.......Thanks for reading!  3 friends have told me to take an at home pregnancy test!  Is it possible for me to be pregnant?  No, right?

I am a little curious. Along with the lupron, did you take anything to prevent osteoporosis? Were you on the birth control pill will the lupron all along? On any estrogen or progesterone? On fosamax? Have you had a DEXA scan (an XRay that measures your bone density)?

Regarding the lack of periods, this may or may not be related to the use of lupron. I do not have a lot of experience with such long term use of lupron.

One way of telling what is happening is to get some hormone blood tests for LH, FSH, estradiol, prolactin, progesterone, TSH.

Are you seeing a reproductive endocrinologist? I would recommend considering this if you have not had a period by the end of January. Also, how old are you. If older than age 35, with your history, this would be another good reason to see an REI.

Good luck!

To: Went to the Dr.
Hi again!  I still haven't gotten my period.  I went to my Dr. and I had my yearly exam.  He sad my follicles look good (they did an ultrasound) and the lining in thin, b/c I was on the Lupron.  So, he told me if the ultrasound looks good, he wants to start me PROVERA. I started provera a couple days ago.

He also gave me a RX for Clomid.  Then he gave me directions.  He told me that he wants me to take these as directed.  He seems pretty confident I will be ok.  I am a little nervous.  I know getting pregnant is going to be a challenge, but I guess I am nervous because I am here, and ready to face the challenge!

I feel Physically ok though!  Is my Dr. giving me Clomid right off the bat b/c he knows i will be having a hard time.  Does Clomid usually help?  Should I buy an ovulation kit.....?
