Fertility

so i have been trying to have a baby for almost two years now with no luck. i do already have a 5 year old. now at first i was wondering if there could be a problem with my significant others possibly sperm production or something else. now i come to find out when that relationship ended he started dating someone else and she was pregnant within the first two months. me and my husband have been trying to have a baby for two years with no luck. i have tracked my periods, although they go month to month on a certain day then they change to i get them on the wrong days or i miss a period or it comes 2 or 3 weeks late. so now i really have no idea when i ovulate because my period comes when ever it wants. also i had some bloodwork done that showed elevated prolactin levals, now i researched that and that can cause a problem with fertility. however i saw my OB/GYN and he says all other hormones are fine so it probley isnt an issue it can be elevated because of stress and other factors. now i have quit smoking, i take vitamins everyday, i do everything ive ever read to optimize my chances, such as no smoking, vitamins, best positions that give optimum delivery of sperm, ive cut back on caffiene, better diet. my doctor wants to give me a dye test to check for blockages and go from there...i was just wondering if anyone had any advice or went through this already or just anything i am so despreately wanting a another child..

Dear leigh222-

Infertility is very stressful. Fortunately, there is an organized approach to tackling the problem. I agree with JustMe0925 - after almost two years of trying I would encourage you to seek out an reproductive endocrinologist/infertility sub-specialist. The standard approach to testing is to obtain a semenanalysis/sperm count on your partner (regardless of his reproductive history, as things can and do change), and x-ray called a hysterosalpingogram (HSG) to see if your fallopian tubes are open, and endocrine testing to see if you are ovulating. The infertility specialist can decide if your elevated prolactin levels are causing irregular ovulation - if they are they can be easily corrected with medication. Within a matter of weeks, with the right testing, you should have an idea why you are having troubles getting pregnant, and an approach to dealing with the problem. Good luck!

my husband adn i have also been trying for two years.  We had our first appt with our re last week.  I also have questions about the sperm quality.  After a year of trying, I was raped and soon found i was pregnant.  I miscarried at 12 weeks and paternity was never determined.  If you are very concerned, I would suggest your see an re.  Ask that you and your partner are both tested.  Semen analasis is simple and cheap and it will tell you whether you need to look more closely.  Also simple blood tests and possibly HSG can give you a better idea of what is going on with you.  Good Luck!

Hi there do not stress that is the first advice remember fertility doesn't happen if tere is stress invole u must be relax.
U must get the OVULEX product it will help restore nutrition and hormonal imbalances and help lengten your ovalation cycle even if u don't have regular period it will help.
I really think this will help u and boost your fertility big time.
So remember to relax and enjoy your self before the second baby comes and hey remember to pray and ask God for your second baby so you'll know it's a blessing..
Have a great day. And Lots & Lots of baby dust...................

Like I tell most women on this site asking  these type of questions.  Have you thought about seeing a Fertility Doctor and not just an OB/GYN???  They will test you for everything under the stars and hubby too.  I decided to see a fertility doctor after my hubby and I couldn't get pregnant and it stick for 3 1/2 yrs.
