Can I get from boyfriend?

by Destiny Baldillez, Jul 24, 2000 12:00AM
My boyfriend had what he calls "infectious hepatitis" when he was younger.  His grandmother and cousin had it as well and were told they got it from a water fountain at a daycare where one of the cafeteria workers was infected.  They told him that he would never be able to give blood.  I was wondering what this means and if I should be concerned about the risks of getting this form of hepatitis.  I don't know whether it was A,B, or C all he knows is that it was infectious, that he got if from a water fountain, and he can't donate blood.  Since we are intimate should I receive some sort of vaccine?  We have been intimate for a while now so could I have it already?  Thanks so much for you help.
