ALBUMIN LEVELS

MY HUSBAND IS ON THE TRANSPLANT LIST, BUT DOES NOT YET CARRY A PAGER. HIS ALBUMIN LEVEL IS DROPPING DRAMATICALLY AND IS NOW AT 2.6. HIS MENTAL STATE IS DETERIORATING. HOW LOW CAN IT GO BEFORE HE NEEDS CONSTANT CARE. HE ALSO HAS EDEMA, VERICOSE VEINS IN HIS NECK AND HAS HAD HEP C FOR 30 YEARS.
