Anyone else B C pos with B dominant?

by jannipie, May 29, 2002 12:00AM
Hey everyone -

I just wondered whether anyone out there was in a similar situation to my husband's. He's African American, genotype 1a, has both hepatitis B and C and has been told the B is dominant.  I think the viral load is around 15 million for B and relatively low for C.  He's about to start treatment -- peg interferon -- and I wondered if anyone else has or knows of someone with a similar scenario. I wanted to know aboout the symptoms others are experiencing with hepatitis B -- his sound like the symptoms for C.  Are they different?  Has anyone been on treatment?  If so, what were the results?

I'd appreciate anyone's info and/or comments.  Thanks.
