low neutrophil count

My neutrophil count is getting lower as I aproach 24 weeks of PegIntron/Ribavirin treatment. Last time it was checked the count was about 80000. I was instructed to reduce the PegIntron by 50% for one week. Critical number is 50000 when I understand the treatment has to be stopped. Did anyone encounter low neutrophil count ? How was it addressed by the doctor ? Was additional medication involved to bring the count up ? Does the count ever stabilize during treatment or goes back up on its own ? I have been negative immediately after starting treatment and am very reluctant to cut down treatment. Does anyone know which are the legal rights to continue or stop the treatment ?
