Hi, I was a 1a on peg-intron and ribra 6 pills a day or 1200mg for 52 weeks. The first 4 or 5 months were the hardest on me. I just did'nt do what i was told. I hardly ate and some days i missed the water. I started to eat at least 2 good meals a day, and drank my water. I made sure i had fruits and veggies everyday, and little by little i felt better. Food did'nt taste to good but you have to eat! I am 2 weeks post tx and feeling Great so far. If i could say one thing to newbies it would be to eat and have your water. And don't Quit! You will feel better soon.

Hi there,

I was 2b, grade 2 damage and on peg-intron for almost 6 months.  I only did 3 full weeks of full tx. - very low blood counts, very short of breath and of course lots of other sides.  I think my shot was original .5 and started on 5 pills a day.  Did 11 wk then at 1/2 dose, then 7 wks at 3/4 stop a week and then 2 wks at 1/2 dose.  However, I did clear, praise the Lord, and am still clear after a year.  Best to you...

I filled out the info page to be added your website then checked it out. It's not showing as I input the info. For instance my age doesn't show up and it list me as a non-responder which I am not and did not list that. Not sure why??? LL

This October has been two years since the end of my treatment and am still SVR. I was genotype 2b and did Peginterferon & Ribavirin for 6 months. I was one of the first to do the Peginterferon and it was real tough but well worth it.

Regards,

Barry

Hey there, does Sofla mean that you are in south Florida? I am in Tampa. I WAS a 1a and I started out with more than 1,000,000 copies. I had this for about thirty plus years. I was on .5 peg and 1000 mg Rebe a day. I took my meds on time every day, every week and prayed constantly. I ended Tx in June of this year and by the Grace of God and a good vitamin and diet regimen I am still clear. It was hard at times but I made it through as I hope and pray that you all do as well.

Sorry it was showing you as a nonresponder, I dont know how I got it mixed up with someone else or what...but are you on 33 out of 48 or 52 weeks?  and this must be your first time on tx. What state are you in?  I apologize if I didnt get your info from the site, it was malfunctioning awhile back but it is fixed now.  I will try to get it updated soon, my daughter has been trying to teach me how to do it by myself...brain fog isnt being cooperative by leaving me!

I can sympathize with keeping up on computers. It's a constant struggle. It's great of you to do this. I'm on week 33 of possible 72. Currently I am planning on doing extended tx. It is my first time on tx and I am living in Wi. LL

I'm 1a and was on the 48 wk Peg/Reg plan.  I was negative 12 wks into tx.  I started at 120 micro grams and .4 of the peg and 5 pills of the Reb.  After 3 wks, the doc increased it to 150 micro grams and .5 of the peg and 6 Reb.  I started taking Buspar to help me sleep at about 10 wks.  I started taking Paxil at about 26 wks to keep from killing myself.  I was negative again wk 26.  Around wk 30, I lost twenty pounds and lots of hair, doc reduced meds to 120 and .4 of peg and 5 Reb.  Hair and weight stabilized.  Completed 48 wks.  I was negative one month after tx.  That was three months ago.  My weight and hair are back and I'm off AD's.  I'm thinking pretty clearly again.  I'm anxious about the next blood test.  No more short sentences.
