| . | your blood work can be within range and you can still feel the effects of the lowering red count. tiredness, muscle weakness, short of breath and yes, I did have the high blood pressure also. your body is working harder due to the lowering number of red cells. many doctors just let you suffer through these symptoms as long as the count is "within range". take it easy. |

| . | when i was on treatment i had to disconue high blood pressure meds . BP dropped below 90/60 but pulse rate increased from around 60(normal for me ) t0 over 110. the anemia became very severe and dr wouldnt treat that until counts hit 70 (150 normal) he stated "we are willing to compromise your system to effect a cure" i have since changed docs having terminated treatment early and looks like new regimen to start early fall, hopefully with better monitoring and pretested allergic sensitivity to eprex/procit etc. since off meds i have had to remedicate for HBP, pulse rate back to 60 still have the ever present bone aches since tx started in oct03 . tx stopped in mar04. |

Thank you for your service to our country.
Good to hear you are doing so well on your tx. It sounds like all of the sx's you are experiencing are to be expected. My blood pressure went above normal and fluctuated quite a bit during the first 8-10 weeks or so. It has since leveled out pretty well (I'm on week #17).
Getting a week #4 PCR is a great idea. As a geno 2, your odds of being a rapid viral responder (RVR) are great (as are your overall odds of SVR 93%-97%) - and having your 4 week PCR results can help you track your response better and help in decision making regarding extending, should that ever become necessary.
Best to you as you beat this dreaded disease.
