Are the Ovulation Pred. Kits really that great???

by Wendy28, May 23, 2003 12:00AM
Has anyone used the opk's and found better sucess than charting and waiting? I have heard they are really good when the cycles are irregular.. mine are anywhere from 32-90 days sometimes..

I have to lose about 20lbs and they should become more regular.. they did before..

anyone use them personally?  :) Wendy28

I have used them,I don't personally like them. If you don't doit exactlyright you get an inaccurate result. Then you need to know about when you ovulate(you get like 5 tests) If your off more then this, then they don't work. I bought the clearblue easy Ovulation Monitor. It's expensive but worth it . It takes away the guess work and it worked for me. I just found out I am pregnant. Honestly in the long run, you may und up speniding as much money on ovulation kits as you would have, had you gotten the monitor. In my opinion it is far superior.

I used the First Response Ovulation Kit during my last two pregnancies and I found that it worked great (obviously!). Before I started using the kits, we started trying as early as 5-6 days before I actually ovulated. But using the kit, we waited until the test was positive and then had sex and it worked both times. Hope this helps. Good luck!
