joint pain

by doublel, Sep 04, 2003 12:00AM
about a month after I gave birth to first child (of which the last trimester was spent on bedrest due to cervix dialating) I started to have a lot of pain in my kneees and feet.  It became extremely difficult to walk, esp in the morning.  The symptoms sort of mimick arthritis but... I never had them before.  What can cause this - fluid?  My son is almost four months old - I just assumed the excess fluid would be gone by now.  ANy suggestions?

Hi,

I went through a similar thing last year after being on 100% bedrest for 3 months for ruptured membranes.  I expected to get up and be fine within a couple days but it really took me a couple months before I felt strong again. I'm a wedding photographer and remember the 1st wedding I shot 2 weeks after and I couldn't hardly move.  Even my neck muscles were sore.  The more you can walk the better you'll be.  I tried to take a couple good walks a day. I'm 12 weeks pregnant right now and am praying that the ole' cervix doesn't give me any problems this time.  Hope you feel better.
