To: Morning After Pill!
How do I go about to get the Morning after pill? Do they sell it in a bottel or is just one pill? I know these are kind of silly questions but, my husband and I don't want to get pregnant right now.

Thanks,

        Steeley

Last year I thought about taking the morning after pill...i just called my doctor and he called in a prescription. I never did go pick it up but i'm pretty sure you get only 1 pill.

depends on what they prescribe...you do have to see a doctor...it is usually a series of up to 12 birth control pills that you take over a 12 hour period...half and the other half 12 hours later

I saw your post about having a secong sac. Did they see a heartbeat in it? I hope that both babies are doing good. Let us know anything else you found out. Imagine you could have 2 babies instead of one. I don't know wether to congradulate you or start praying for you to keep your sanity when they are born. 2 would be double the work and imagine how much sleep you will miss.

Does your son still have thrush? Your breastfeeding right? Did they suggest you put something on your nipples to help with the problem. My niece had it when my SIL was breastfeeding her and I think my SIL put some kinda oil one either before she breastfeed or after. If you are still having problems with it and want me to I can ask. It would be something all natural and safe for the baby because she gave her meds too and her doctor said it was ok to do the oil.

Hi all, I am new to this site, so let me tell you a little about my sit. DH and I are ttc baby #2. We have a 3 1/2 yr. old son and it took us 3 yrs. to conceive him. Finally conceived him after 5 mo. of clomid. We are trying the clearblue easy fert. mon. This is first month for that. My question is has anyone ever heard of taking Robitussin while Oing to increase chances of conceiving? Does that work??

Goodmorning to everyone!!! I hope you all had a wonderful and safe 4th!! Just got back from the lake and brought a sinus infection and coldsore with me. What I did not bring is AF. Cycle day 37 today. I go see the doctor this afternoon, so hopefully we can get something resolved. Trying to catch up on all the posts. So many conversations I would have loved to have been involved in. Thanks Starry Eyes for requesting the clomid roll call again. I hope everyone has a great day! :)

I really hope you come back out here and get this. I read your post yesterday about your DD. I wanted to let you know that my DS has Apraxia, which is a severe speech delay. He has been in speech therapy since he was 18 months old. We had every test done that was possible when we first were trying to figure out what was going on. He was born almost two weeks early, induced. I had developed Bells Palsy and could not get any treatment until he was born. He had the umbilical cord around his neck for an undetermined amount of time. We had and MRI and sleep study done. Both were inconclusive. DH did so much research that he actually came across Apraxia on the internet and we found someone local who specialized in it. So we basically found his diagnosis. MY DS will be 6 this year and it extremely smart. There is nothing wrong with any other mental facilcity. He is developing normally except for the speech. He has had a few motor delays, mainly hopping and skipping, but those things too are improving. He is in mainstream school and acts like the rest of the kids. I would encourage you to keep seeking treatment. The earlier you catch most speech delays the sooner the process can start to help them become verbal. My son actually started with sign language, because he could not verbalize anything. He has come a long way. Please keep me posted. :)

Hi Mandi,

Thanks!!!!!!

Yes, he still has the thrush, it doesn't look as bad as it did but it is still there.

The only thing I'm doing at this point is giving him a few drops of water after he eats to wash the breastmilk out of his mouth. (doctor said it was okay to do) But most of the time he falls asleep on the breast and it's too hard to give him the drops of water without waking him (then he won't go back to sleep) or choking him.

Please ask about the oil for me I would greatly appreciate it.

Hugs,

Vikki

I called my SIL and she said that she used Lanosil(sp?). I thought she was using it to help with the thrush but she said she used it for sore nipples caused by the thrush. She also said that the meds the doctor gave her baby gave her yeast infection, so watch out for that.

Thanks for the information on the Morning After pill. One more question, Is the "morning After" Kind of like aborting a child? If so I don't want to take it, I'm very curious because, I'm AntiAbortion 100%.

                        Thanks,

In my opinion, anything that you purposely take in order to terminate a pregnancy is considered an abortion.  This is why I always talk my youth group about abstinence and if they are going to be sexually active to practice protected sex.  Even though you are never 100% protected, you decrease your chances of getting pregnant.

They say that the morning after pill is suppose to kill any sperm before it gets to the egg, but if the sperm has already reached the egg, it probably kills the fertilized egg too.

I don't know if it is technically causing an abortion, but personally I would not feel right about taking it. I also do not believe in abortion.

Thanks a bunch.

The prescription that was given for my son was also for my nipples.......

They actually didn't get sore until after I started using the medication.

His mouth doesn't seem to be sore just the white patches.

He has an appt with the doctor on the 27th of this month but I think I will call and let the doc know that the prescription didn't work again and see what he says.

Thanks again,

Vikki

I took the morning after pill about 2 yrs ago.

You can go to any clinic that prescribes BC and get it, usually no questions asked other than the last time you had sex and why you think you need it.

They gave me a total of 4 pills. 2 to take ASAP with food and 2 to take I believe 6 or 12 hours later.

Accidents happen as did with me, the condom broke and I was unprepared for pregnancy at that time. Worked like a charm.

And actually what the morning after pill does is make the environment of the womb hostile so that implantation does not take place. Or that's how it was explained to me.

To: INFANT GAS
To all you 'moms' out there.........

How did you cope with infant gas????

I'm testing with the foods I eat to see what makes it worse. So far we think we figured out that soda and chocolate makes it worse......sometimes he will be fine until he starts eating. It seems like as soon as the breastmilk hits his belly he starts screaming.

I just hate to hear him scream in pain if there is something I can do about it....

I do give him gas drops but they really don't seem to help. And as far as sleeping goes.........he can't sleep in his bed, even with the head of the bed raised........the only way he sleeps is either up against mine or hubbys chest if we're sitting up or in his swing....I'm so afraid the swing is bad for his back with him being in it so much. I try to keep him out of it as much as possible during the day since I know he is going to end up sleeping in it at night.

What else can I do besides the drops and trying to change my own diet
