intercourse after ovarian cyst rupture?

I had an ovarian cyst that ruptured about a week ago. I'm no longer in any pain. When I went to the dr. he advised me not to have intercourse until after my next cycle, and that my cycle would be disrupted. I'm now 5 days late. I was told that this cyst was very common and nothing to worry about (as in cancer risk, negative effect on my fertility etc.). What is the risk of having intercourse until my next cycle is completed?
