| faqs 6/8/2006 | . | Does anybody know what this might be... I've noticed a strange lump on my left lat, just below my shoulder-blade. Its the size/shape of the yellow on a fried egg and kind off feels the same... like a pocket of fluid or jelly (fat maybe?) under the skin. It doesn't really feel attached to anything as you can move it around pretty easily. It doesn't hurt, there is no discolouration of the skin. If it was on the otherside of my ribcage I'd swear I had gyno! Maybe I'm growing a breast on my back??????????? |

After being diagnosed with gland related viruses and then taking 3 lots of antibiotics, it did not go away. Went to a specialist who has booked him into surgery in a few days time for the removal of a cyst or growth on his larynx. My concern is that if it is just a cyst why operate so quickly when others have had more remedial treatments. Could the doctor be not telling us that it may be cancer?
