I went to the dr.to check my stomach area It felt tight At times there was is a band from one hip across the front of waist to other hip.  He sent me to the ER for appendicitis. I was upset since I did not have a fever or nausea etc. A CT scan found diverticulosis.  t sounded serious the specialist later told me it is not a big deal. Next morning I woke up feeling very heavy in head. The next morning I woke up and had a terrible throbbing in my shoulder I thought I slept wrong. The next night I woke up and feel "numb" like or imflammation in my head I cannot describe it exactly. Then felt very sweaty and thought I was going to die have a heart attack or something. I guess it was a panic attack.  A few nights later I began having violent back spasms and pain in upper back and neck.  A few weeks later the spasms started again.  They would go all over by body. One would start near my knee and end in my genitials. It was very scary.  I started to stretchout each day this stopped the spasms. I went to the spine doctor. She told me I had weak muscles.  I started physical therapy.  I was amazed how little I could lift. I used to work out but stopped a year ago. I could lift very little weight. My insurace ran out after 2 months I was lifting a little more and stretching everyday They did some deep tissue massage and trigger point work. This all helped the back was much better but I would focus on any ache or muscle twitch and wonder if the spasms would start again. It wouldtwitch trobb and do a lot of weird things after each session. It felt very strange cannot secribe it perhaps the musvles were contacinting or reactein g tho the massage and loiftinh/ A friend thought I had MS, Before this would not have bothered me but everytime something happens I think it will get worse or is a problem.  I started going to the gym on my own  each day I am afraid I will lift too much and injure myself. The gym  has the same machines but the lowest weight is more than I lifted in therapy. I started wondering about this and  felt a sensation in my waist again and it would feel like the muscles were moving or were inflammed or bloated. It feels as the muscles  move.  This would happen each time I worked out and ewas not doing any ab or lowere back exercises. When I did try to some ot his it feels like a rubber band aaround the wasit and it feels like it moves when I exercise very unnerving I stopped that exercsie immediately noe each time I work out my upper back I get these same feeling actroess the midde of my back and shoulders. Now I am geting funny sensations again.  Tightness around neck head feels heavy and tight and it feels like muscles are moving everywhere Now I am in a lot of pain  and feel I am back at square 1. I had MRI and a visit with neurologist she says I am normal MRI has 4 spots in brain. She says it is not Ms and refered me to spine dr. who says I am ok What is wrong with me How long will pain last?

You sound like a person who is under a lot of stress and the stress in your life is creating these somatic symptoms and your very signicant anxiety...that's what you need to treat...psychotherapy is best approach, with or without anxiety relieving medications.

How can your MRI be normal if you have 4 "spots?"  Did the MRI report state what these were caused by?
