Can I take Adderall w/ Hypoglycemia?

by tbbenoit, Jul 12, 2007 12:00AM
I have suffered with Hypoglycemia for years. I recently have taken a test for A.D.H.D. because of all of my negative symptoms that adhd entails. I passed with flying colors and I want to know would it be safe for me to take Adderall with me having Hypoglycemia? Thanks.

I don't think  that would be a problem but if you have any doubts, and if your hypoglycemia is related to any other medical factor, you should talk to your doctor.

I do that...but be careful, because the adderall makes you not think about eating and hypoglycemia symptoms settle in fast when you don't eat.  Always make sure to have healthy, handy snacks around!

I agree.  My daughter takes adderrall and she has lost 25 lbs in 2 months while on it.  She just never thinks about eating and I have to remind her to eat.
