Any safety issues regarding 5 htp supplement?

Has anyone had good results with 5 htp or does anyone recall any safety issues using this supplement?   Thank you.

I consider it to be basically unsound as an approach because you would be taking it to simulate ssri's that are more reliable in dose and effect. It also can adversely effect your blood pressure.
