Real cause of suffering?

RKS
I've recently came up with an idea and I wanna share it with you cause if it's true it can change all perspective in mental health area.

According to current model when something traumatic happens there's so much information that you can't handle and you have to supress some of those information. But in actual trauma all that gives discomfort to you is extreme feelings of overwhelm in your head, right? You don't try to analyze the situation or what consequencies it will bring during trauma, at least not much. All you are aware of is that massive overwhelm. And I think that's what you're actually supressing during trauma. You have this extreme disturbance caused by all different chemical reactions in your head and you try to supress them. And there's actually a neurotransmitter, as many of you know, GABA that can halt the activity in your brain to stop panicky feelings. And I think that could be the real reason for suffering after something hurtful happened to you, rather than supression of your thoughts. I mean what is the more powerful one that causes us to do something, our thoughts or our feelings? I know thoughts can effect feelings but feelings are what drives us.

I really wanna get this idea to authorities but I don't know how. So please think about it and ask someone professional you know about this. It may at last CURE all mental diseases.

Yeah crazy idea I know. I'm having some in these couple months:) I have a very disturbing agoraphobia and I'm currently spending most of my time staying at home and thinking what could be done about it. I think this one has some backing because even if people aren't usually aware of it, cause we are so good at supressing, everyone experiences some disturbance and overwhelm in their head in a dreadful situation. We just have to look for it to see it. Rather you try your best to not feel it. And sometimes when I begin to feel more alive I firstly feel that overwhelm first, then it slowly fades away. This idea came to my mind from these moments. I just hope someone in medical area read this and take this seriously into consideration.

BTW, MRI only shows damage to the tissue in the brain. As you know brain is more than that. Brain can just halt its activity by blocking neurotransmitters, without doing any physical damage. I don't know what Multiple Sclerosis is but I would take this into consideration.

When I girst starting reading this I thought Crazy but I re read and quite a concept....absolutely when we think and feel our brain does what it does in reaction to thoughts and feelings..mental and physical...I wish/hope it was that "simple" to answer...and yes it would change the worlds ills but I don't think we as people will understand what WE are all about...that is the mystery of life and we will never solve it....that is something GREATER than ourselves....keep yourself on that track and you will definately enlighten someone to look at trauma experiences differently...I have had many..gun incidents...(man to commit suicide and BEAR shot in my yard..to my powerlessness)...abuse etc etc etc...and yes I know that if I wasn't on meds or given some "treatment" I would be crazy now...the brain is a powerful thing and needs to be respected...I am also dealing with Multiple Sclerosis type symptoms and the brain is way too complex for us to understand and my mri came out clear but I have 80-90% of MS symptoms and a emlarged right pupil...and no brain damage or spinal damage...enlighten me?....I like your philosophy ...people need to share that is how we learn...and also change our brain chemistry...peace
