Vertigo or Migranes?

I would appreciate your input regarding migraines vs vertigo.  Background: 55-year-old male, no migraine family history, MRI clear other than a right maxillary sinus cyst, since childhood get nauseas easily & get sinus infections whenever I get a cold. Headaches, when they occur, usually present in both temples &/or above/behind the eyes

I hope someone can help me with this problem.  Boxing Day I woke up with Vertigo again.  (last episode Oct. 12 for a week) and my symptoms were the same as before: "spinning" no balance, nauseous, etc.  I still have the Vertigo and although I am back to work, it's very difficult.  The worst time is in the morning when my "spinning" is the worst but gets better as the day progresses.  I also have "the sweats", feel very spacey and find it extremely hard to concentrate.  I don't have the fullness or ringing in the ears, and was only queasy for the first 2 days.  The symtoms are worse when I turn my head from side to side or look up or down.

Any ideas?  I wouldn't worry so much if it was for a few days but this is hanging on way too long.

Tks

Like I have told everyone with these unexplained illness please go to the mirror and check your mouth for silver fillings. If you have silver fillings please google" Dental Amalgam Mercury Syndrome" or call DAMS National Office at 1-800-311-6265 for more information.

Good luck.

My uncle has had Meniere's disease since his 40s or so and your symptoms sound very similar.  He had the vertigo, ringing and lost hearing in one ear due to the doctors cutting the nerve (in order to stop the vertigo, I believe).  The other ear he is now losing hearing in due to the disease itself.  It's an autoimmune disease and I believe there is an antibody that they can test for.  Don't know the percentage of people it shows up in with the disease, though.  I'd read more on it if you haven't already done so.
