6.5 cm Endometrial Mass on Ovary

by babblann, Mar 29, 2007 12:00AM
I had an Ultrasound 3 months ago and it was determined that I had a cyst on my left ovary.  With my follow up ultrasound 6 weeks later they said that the cyst was no longer and that I had a 6.5 cm (diameter) endometrial mass on my left ovary.  Does this make sense?  Can the mass be eliminated with drug therapy or will surgery be likely.  I have  daily pain which prompted me to seek medical attention initially.  I see the Gynocologist next week.

Hi there,

My personal rule is that if a cyst is bigger than 4-5 cm, if it is changing, and/or if it is causing symptoms such as pain, my recommendation is for surgical removal.
best wishes
