This is to follow up on my previous posting. I have 3 simple cysts on my Right ovary and multiple cysts on my Left. I have been on birth control for a year. I had abdominal pain, bloating, rectal pain along with other symptoms. I have now see the GYN. She has put me on a higher dose birth control. She stated she does not believe this will help as my cysts do not seem to be functional. She also stated that she feels I do not have much ovarian tissue left and would just try to drain the cysts to preserve fertility. I am very comfortable with the care I am receiving. However, 2 days ago the pain changed. I had a vice like feeling across my stomach and back. This pain came in and out and at times was so severe I could not breathe. Later yesterday it changed again and became a deep continuous pain over the area of my right ovary. I am wondering if the cysts could actually cause the vice pain. It seemed to be more in my back and upper abdomen. Should I get a GI consult or can cysts cause pain in those places? My other concern is that one of the cysts is rupturing and that's what may be cousing the pain. Your help was so appreciated previously. Any advice you can provided would be more than welcome. Thank you!

Thank you for your advice. I did have a CT about one month ago. Everything was unremarkable except the bilateral ovarian cysts. Do you recommend I request a 2nd one? Also, I saw my GYN on 5/22. The pain followed the next few days. I did notify her offic eof the changes. Should I request to see her again? Can ovarian cysts cause this type of pain? Thank you so much!
