My wife (deceased) had a recurrence with an accompanying increase in CA-125 values. However, as she underwent a variety of second round chemo regimens (none of which helped) her CA-125 levels did not always reflect the progression of the disease. Other tests (primarily CT Scans) seemed to be more revealing and provided a truer picture of what was going on inside. Ovarian cancer is probably the most difficult of all the gynecological cancers to treat successfully.
