hemicolectomy after OC stage III C recurence-symptoms

Hello,
If somebody knows what I must to do to stop functional diarheea after the excision of a half of colon....
I had three tumors between the parts of colon and ileus, and it was necessary to eliminate also a part of the intestin.
I have 3-6 diarheea per day from 7 weeks, after surgical. I tried Imodium, antiinflamatory, diet, without succes. Who can help me with some informations, I will be much obbliged.
I have no other symptoms, no pain, good blood analysis, normal CA 125. I lost 12 kg (from 105 to 93!!!...)

Thank you for your counsel!
Also me I am convinced that I must be patient, because the small intestin must take the role of the part of the colon, that was excised and this process needs some time. I observed some progress, that cannot be corelated to medication..
Your kind ideas will be all the time useful to me..Thank you!

Well, it sounds like you have already tried everything.  The only other item that I can suggest would be sipping mint tea.  Mint, especially peppermint, is relaxing and healing to the  gastro-intestinal tract. It is one of the tricks that I use to keep from suffering from IBS.   I guess it is worth a try since nothing else seems to be working for you, but you will need to make the tea strong, and some people cannot stand it that way!  There is a peppermint nutritional supplement that also contains something like rosemary; I have used it as well, but it is hard to find and costs more than tea.   At the moment, I cannot even remember the name of it, unless it is "peppermint plus".
