Missed/Late menstruation and ovarian cyst

About a month and a half ago, I had an ultrasound that revealed I had an ovarian cancer.  I was suppose to follow up with a doctor after my next menstrual cycle, but I didn't. Yeah, stupid me.  My cycle passed and I didn't feel anymore back or abdominal pain. I felt fine.  Well, now I'm late for my cycle and I am typically never late.  I even did a pregnancy test thinking there might be a small chance that I was, but the results were negative.  So once someone has an ovarian cyst, will this change their menstruation cycle?  Or should I be worried?

Was a biopsy done?  That is the only way to determine if you have ovca or not.  I would get a second opinion if I were you.  A dr. cannot tell just from the ultra sound, he/she must go in and have the tissue tested.  Please get a second opinion.  You are in my thoughts and prayers.  Godspeed

Yeah - what Tascha said!  And, yes, an ovarian cyst can interupt the regular menstrual cycles.  Normally, the ovaries more or less "take turns", alternating every month, and if the cyst impairs the ovary's ability to function, then you can miss a cycle.  I had that problem too.
