It's just not fair! Oh GOSH and to be in sales too... Having to put on a little smiley face when you feel like biting into someone's arm! Good grief.  What a test!
NO this is just not simple ovulation. Seriously, though, really watch your diet, try not to drink alcohol (it makes all the symptoms much worse I believe) and get lots of fiber. It helps if your bowels aren't totally screwed up on top of everything else. I take Metamucil which is here in Canada, not sure what you have there.  Have noted your address, will email ya if I come up with anything else.  Hang in there Kiddo
Love, Big Old Katie!

Boy, I know what you mean!  That's what I do too, nod like I know what the HECK he is talking about and leave a total blank....how many times have I felt like spinning around and going back in  "Oh and another thing....." and of course he is long gone onto the next victim.
Bring a list of questions with you to the doctor, pens and a notebook.  Don't let him brush you off. Make sure you leave with a good plan and that you are satisfied with his replies.
I am sorry you are in pain. How about a little mild stretching, a little walk, hot bath, some yoga?  Just a thought!
GOOD LUCK!
Love, Katie

AH HA! Birmingham eh?  Pretty good guess huh! Very glad to hear your update, you go girl!
Make the doctor answer all your questions. Make sure you understand the answers! Can you take someone with you to help you? Do not be afraid to say "I do not understand what you just said, can you say it again?!" Write it down too, or have him write it down.
I think that Depro shot is very hard on the system.
Poor little Katie, you are so young for this.
Love and prayers from, Big Katie! (OK I am not that big but I am 48!)

Thanx very much for your answers I really appreciate it.
I have actualy just switched doctor surgeries-I figured I wasnt gonna get anywhere with the one I was at-so I have a medical tommorrow for ny registration and I will then book an appt with the doc-
I have printed off a endo symtom list off the net and ticked all the things that apply to me aswell as adding a few other things that I get-Like leg pain?
A couple of you mentioned pcos - I have looked at this but dont think I have any real symptoms to match it-dark hair, loss of periods(far from it!!!)etc
I have also read abaout alot of girls getting fobbed off being told that they have ibs cos the symptoms can be sinilar-Now she may genuinley have this but my mom 'ibs' and it just got me thinking really.
Oh I am 20 by the way...and Katie-I live in birmingham,Oh yeah and it was depro that I had.

So sorry that you are going through all of this. Is there any way that you can change doctors? Find another doctor immediately and be ready with a list of questions. Unfortunately it seems that doctors don't listen but they especially don't listen to young women (too young to have problems). I have a friend who went through the same thing as you until she found a doctor who would listen and she was covered with endo; they did surgery and told her that she would never have children. But she went on to have two beautiful boys! You have found the best site for information; the women on here are very smart & know what they are talking about. Good luck. Hugs :)

Awwww I have a soft spot for Katies! First of all, welcome to the site as I think this is your first post, and good for you for coming here, you will get sympathy and help I promise! I would just bet you are in Northern England, hmmm hmmmm?  You write just like my beloved relatives there! Anyway, so sorry to hear you have been through all this, so unfair. For starters, having two weeks between periods is NOT NORMAL (sorry) and you deserve a complete medical workup. The pill is OK for some things, but, also, can "mask" other problems.  Painful and heavy periods is also NOT something that is acceptable. Do you remember the name of the injections? Was it Depro Provera? Did you tell your doctor you had a very long period after coming off it? Did you tell him that you felt unwell from it?  It IS possible that the pill formulation you were prescribed was not the correct one for you. You should not have to get up in the night, that is more than just "inconvenient" at your young age. That is nonsense about an "unfortunate cycle" in my opinion.  Don't let them brush you off.  Yes you could have endometriosis but you could have PCOS as livertrans says. I would say do not let them give you the injection as well as take the pill. Are you seeing a gynecologist? I would suggest you very carefully document all your symptoms each and every day. Demand that you be seen by a specialist and present him with your findings. Make a list of questions for him/her (post them here and we can help you with them). Research PCOS and endo on the internet but bear in mind it can be a bit "sketchy". Keep writing us and we will see what we can come up with!
For your part, for starters, I would recommend exercise, cut back on dairy products, and on alcohol, and eat a very healthy diet. What else can you suggest women of the Battilion?
Hang in there, but, remember, you will need to get PUSHY. We will help push you!
Love and prayers, Katie (in Canada)

I would be more likely to go with the PCOS that your aunt had.  I had basically the same thing and went through a lot of these things as a teenager with the doctors treating me the same way.  It wasn't until my mid 20s when I was trying to get pregnant that I got a diagnosis.  The only different thing I had was that I would skip months of my period and then flow forever and very heavy.  Have you had a D & C at all?  The fertiility specialist I saw had to make sure that my uterus was cleaned out before I started another cycle.  He did it with medication instead of D&C.  Might not be the same at all but it is hard to find a doctor to take you seriously when you are young.
