help for my mom

by militarybrat, Aug 29, 2003 12:00AM
my mom is 52 yrs old and about 7 or 8 yrs. ago she was diagnosed with cervical cancer.  she went thru the hysterectomy and radiation procedure and then into remission.  then about a year ago it was back in her back somewhere. she went through chemo and radiation.  now the doctors are saying she has a lump growing in her lung (or something like that).  they want her to wait 3 months before they do a biopsy or surgery. They (the doctors) say the cancer has been in her lymh nodes.  My question is....how far does lymph node cancer spread before it takes over and then there is nothing left to do? and should she just have the surgery or wait for the drs. to do the biopsy?
