Hi - I am on Coumadin as well and will be having surgery next month. I will be stopping the Coumadin for probably a week. It does depend on why you are taking it in the first place. I need it because of a venous stent in my heart - something very few people have and the docs aren't even sure if I need COumadin for life or not. Most stents are arterial and usually only require Coumadin for 6 months or so. At any rate, you will need to stop the Coumadin for a few days before surgery to reduce the bleeding risk. Shots of low molecular weight heparin can be given instead. Talk to your doctor and to the pre-op clinic about what is best for you. Good luck!

I think that is something that you should talk to your doctor about. I am sure they can work around that.  I am sure other people have been in your shoes.  I think that if it is 8cm it should be removed but that is my opinion.
