Pelvic masses

Doctors say I have a 4.5cm left mass, separate from ovaries and uterus.  Should I be worried?

Krull & Nic, let me know when you find out for sure.  Mine is adjacent to the vaginal cuff between the two ovaries.  My gyn thinks it's linked to an ovary and it's just not showing up that way on the TVUS (but it didn't show up that way on a CT either)!  I'm curious to see what we all end up with.

My left one is is between my vaginal cuff and the left ovary. At least it seem that way when looking at the diagram they drew on my tvus report. The right was picked up on ct and said adjacent to the right ovary.  Guess will only know for sure after the surgery.

I also have a 4 x 5 mass separate from my ovaries!  And no one knows what it is!  I thought I was the only wierdo with one of these!

Mine is located between my two ovaries, where my uterus used to be.  Nic and Krull, where are your cysts?

The radiologists think mine's benign, they say it looks like a hematoma or a lymphocele from my hysterectomy, but that was 4 years ago.  I've had 2 ultrasounds since the hysto that were perfectly clear before this cyst showed up last month.  My gyn thinks it's related to my ovaries and is going to take it out by lap on May 18.

Welcome!  unfortunately, women's health issues do not seem to be as important as men's (case in point - viagra!!)  Anyway, we must be proactive and insist on the health care that we deserve.  If the dr. is giving us the brush off or pat on the head, find another dr.  We are the backbone of this world and we need to be taken seriously.  The Battalion is behind you 110%!

Not really sure.  All I know is it's somewhere between the ovary and uterus.

Thanks for your comment.  I have an MRI scheduled next week--not sure if that's done to drive up the bill or to determine the cause of the mass.  All this makes me very anxious.  I just hope I don't end up going around in circles to have this resolved.  Some of the posts I've read are disconcerting.

Both of my masses are separate from my ovaries as well. (No uterus)I have not come across any posts where this has been the case. So that has been my concern also. Maybe someone will answer with some insight. Hang in there and take care.
Hugs,
