Do they ever diagnose ovca just with U/S??

Just asking out of curiosity. Can they sometimes tell, just by your u/s that it is cancerous?

Pathology is the only thing to diagnose it. Catching it early is the difficult thing to do.  That is why the majority of OVCA is STage III and higher.  Thus, why people thinks it is so deadly-the stats are not that great but it is based people of all ages.  Women in their late 80s most likely would exceed a 5 year life expectancy whether they have ovca or completely healthy.

No, they cannot dx cancer without a biopsy.  99% of ovarian cysts, tumors, or masses are benign.  You are in my thoughts and prayers.  Godspeed

Though technically ovc cannot be "confirmed" by anything less than a biopsy, I do believe some physicains are gifted enough to recognize the probability of a malignancy by viewing ultrasounds. My gyn and gyn/oncologist did just that with me.  Still, it could not be verified until the frozen section was viewed during my surgery.
Just for the record....
Peace.

Ovarian Cancer is NOT a death sentence.  95% of Stage 1 Ovarian Cancer patients live at least 5 years, and 70% of Stage 2 do also.  Even  Stage 3 has a 40% survival rate for 5 years.  (The 5 year survival rate is pretty much the only rate that cancer studies ever give out, they never like to use the word "cure" for any adult cancer.)

Also, the younger you are when diagnosed, the better your odds. Most women with ovca are diagnosed in their 60s and 70s when they may have other health complications as well that make it harder for them to tolerate treatments.

Ovarian cancer is known as the "deadliest" of the gynecological cancers only because it is so hard to detect, and its usually in advanced stages when found.  But lots of women do survive it.

Would it be helpful to take MGN-3 capsules before my surgery. Did anybody try it?
Another question: ovarian cancer is a death sentence, isn`t it?

I wont say diagnose because that takes some special cancer specialist but by the size and shape and weather or not diffrent things are going on if they need to do further test like a vaginalultra sound or ct scan if it looks funny or something the only way they no for sure is with a biopsy which is done afer its tken out or by fluids from the things
