LAPAROTOMY, EXPLORATORY ON MY TUMOR

HEY FOLKS!!
MY QUESTION IS THE DR. WANTS TO PREFORM LAPAROTOMY, EXPLORATORY TO REMOVE MY TUMOR WHICH IS WHAT HE IS CALLING IT NOW..AT FIRST IT WAS CALLED A CYST...NOW HE CALLS IT A TUMOR...IT IS PART FLUID AND PART SOLID...AND HAS FLUID FEATURES AROUND THE OUTSIDE OF IT...NOT SURE WHAT THAT MEANS...DOES THIS MEAN ANYTHING? IF SO, WHAT?  IT GROWED 1/2 CM IN 3 MONTHS..WHICH, I'M NOT SURE IF THAT IS ALOT OR NOT...IT IS NOW 4 CM BIG.  SHE SAID THAT HE WILL DO THE SAME INCISION THAT HE DID 2 YRS AGO WHEN HE REMOVED MY UTERUS, EXCEPT THIS TIME TO TAKE BOTH OVARIES.  I WANT TO KNOW WHAT YAWS OPINION? PLEASE..

My cyst has fluid and solid tissue also, but as you will soon learn, 99% of ovarian cysts are benign.  Hope this helps a little.  Kasie

Hey there.  Drs tend to use the terms interchangably until they actually see the "whatever" and the pathology is done.  Hope this helps.
