I echo what the ladies above say. Remember 99% of ovarian cysts, masses, tumors are benign. However this does not mean that you can ignore them! You are doing the right think. Perhaps you could get a 2nd opinion from a gyn/onc. They are specialists in the female reproductive area and have seen everything. You are in my thought and prayers. Godspeed

I would say be concerned but not panicked. The odds are on your side that the cyst is benign, but it's not something to fool around with. How large is the cyst? Is it causing you pain?
I'm not sure how long I would wait for it to resolve itself (sometimes benign cysts do go away on their own) before I had it taken out. If it is cancerous you don't want to give it time to spread.
I agree that you should ask for a referral to a gyn/oncologist, they deal with these things all the time and are best trained at handling them. You don't have to be diagnosed with cancer to see a gyn/onc, and seeing one won't make the cyst cancerous.
Good luck!
You should be concerned enough to follow through with tests and appointments/consulations with your doctor. That the mass is complex gives you a slightly higher risk of cancer, but that is NOT to say that the mass is malignant!! Being complex reduces the chances that this is a normal cyst that would resolve on its own and so, unfortunately, it is possible that your doctor will need to remove it. If there are any indications that the mass might indeed be malignant, then please consult with a gyn oncologist. You only have one chance to get the surgery right the first time.
