I have been checked for a year now following the discovery of cysts on both ovaries. One resolved spontaniously but when I last had my other checked in april (as per schedule, expecting it to have gone or just stayed as it was by then)it had grown slightly, to 5.7cm, from under 5 cm. It is still simple. My gynae specialist has now asked (by letter) that I return for yet another check in October, which I will do. However, having been through the ropes over this last year, if it remains at current size or grows, what tends to happen then? My lay person common sense tells me that if it was cancer it would have become nasty by now. I don't have other symptoms except a slight tenderness in my ovary area. I have checked the UK Green headed guidelines and the checks I am getting match them completely, but it seems to get more vague in the situation as described above.
