Blood Results High 27.29 Results

Question

I was got back my blood results and I have good new bad news? CA 125, CEA, 19.9 are normal. This 27.29 is 77.8 more twice the normal range.Has anyone else had this? I looked up on web and see it is used also for breast cancer marker.My oncgolist's nurse said not to worry just yet. That I do have a septated cyst (thats what started all this) and fibroids plus a thick uterus and that could cause this.I go for Cat Scan tomorrow.Light bleeding back in April is what brought all this to light.My next mammo is Tuesday. Which is my yearly one.I know last year my report said something about cystic breast.I know someone here must have experienced this.

Misia, I strongly disagree.  If you read her post, then you will read that she is already having proper tests and follow-ups, and is already under the care of a specialist.  Panic at this point will only increase her stress levels, which in turn can aggravate any and all existing conditions that she might have.  Panic is useless.  Insistence and  confidence are good; you should know as you used these tools yourself.  But panic only makes  a bad situation worse...assuming a bad situation exists in the first place!!!

Panic is good.
My CA 125 test was at 28 safe range is up to 35.
I had malignant cancer growing on my R ovary. Doctors were telling me not to PANIC too , I listened to my body and demanded laparoscopy. So please don't tell her not to panic. She should take care of this problem right away....Misia

I should have added to that comment that most all the CA and CEA tests have the same problems as read you about the CA-125 test...false positives as well as negatives...so they require follow up regardless of the test results.    So, it is way, way too early for you to panic!

Have you ever had breast cancer before?  My only knowledge of the use of the CA- 27.29 test is for recurring breast cancers.   I am sorry that I do not have any more information for you.

My 27.29 test is 77.7 the normal range is up to 38.0 It seems like this is a test used for breast cancer, When i called my regular gyn he was no help at all. He said thats not my line of specialty. He wouldn't even do the dam test 2 months ago. The oncoglogist is the one who did it
