Cold and hot flashes with ovarian cancer!

My grandma has ovarian cancer, she is 87 yrs old. She has these sudden cold chill attacks that just make her freeze, to the point of where she can't move. Other times she get's hot flashes that almost make her feel like she is boiling. What causes this and how can she help to ease them?

Definatley ask oncologist first if she would be able to use a progesterone cream. I was having hot and cold flashes and doctor said I could use the cream.I have not had one since. I got it over the counter at a Pharmacy that also sell's natural remedies. And as alway's check with your doctor first.Good luck and god bless.

i'm not sure about the cold freezes, it could be a cool down after the hot flash. hot flashes can be very drenching. as far as i have been told due to cancer can't take any form of therapy like estoven or hrt. ask the gyn onc is best.
